The Challenge
Afghanistan continues to face growing demand for specialized cardiovascular healthcare services alongside broader infrastructure and institutional capacity constraints within the health sector. The proposed National Hospital for Heart Diseases (NHHD) was developed to support the expansion of advanced cardiology services, improve healthcare accessibility, and strengthen long-term clinical capacity within the country.
The assignment required integrated planning, technical coordination, healthcare infrastructure design, and implementation-focused project preparation aligned with international healthcare facility standards and local operational realities.
Our Role
Dynamic Vision (DV), in association with Design Development Consultants (DDC) and Design Alliance, was engaged to support the preparation of the master plan, project documentation, conceptual planning, detailed design development, and tender documentation for the proposed cardiology hospital.
The assignment includes healthcare infrastructure planning, needs assessment, engineering coordination, cost estimation, project development support, and technical advisory services across multiple phases of project preparation and design development.
DV's role focuses on integrated project coordination, planning support, technical delivery oversight, and alignment between healthcare infrastructure requirements, implementation considerations, and long-term operational functionality.

Delivery Environment
The project is being developed within a complex operating environment requiring coordination between government institutions, healthcare stakeholders, technical teams, and development financing partners.
The proposed facility is located within a strategic institutional zone in Kabul and requires alignment between healthcare infrastructure standards, operational planning requirements, implementation feasibility, and long-term service delivery objectives.
Outcomes & Project Impact
The assignment supports the development of a modern 100-bed specialized cardiology hospital intended to strengthen national healthcare infrastructure capacity and improve access to advanced cardiac care services in Afghanistan.
